Why This Exists

I didn't set out to start a jerky company.

My doctor told me to watch my sodium. Managing hypertension means reading every label, and every label felt like a trap — even the snacks marketed as "healthy" were loaded with salt. Jerky was the one thing I kept coming back to. High protein, satisfying, easy to carry. But every brand I found was running 300–400mg sodium per serving.

So I started making my own. Two kinds: thin crispy beef jerky and Asian-style fish jerky — salmon, cod, eel. Took a long time to get the flavor right without leaning on salt. But we got there. Real depth, low sodium, ingredients you can read in five seconds.

I want to be around to see my kids grow up. That's it. That's why this exists.

What Makes It Different
