Why This Exists

I didn't set out to start a jerky company.

My doctor told me to watch my sodium. Managing hypertension means reading every label, and every label felt like a trap — even the snacks marketed as "healthy" were loaded with salt. Jerky was the one thing I kept coming back to. High protein, satisfying, easy to carry. But every brand I found — even the premium ones — was running 600–900mg sodium per serving.

Fish jerky seemed like it should be different. Wild-caught salmon and cod are naturally leaner, cleaner, higher in omega-3s. So I started making my own. Took a long time to get the flavor right without leaning on salt. But we got there: under 280mg, and it actually tastes like something you'd reach for on purpose.

I want to be around to see my kids grow up. That's it. That's why this exists.
